🌊 The Problem – Cracked Sensor Mount, Seawater Exposure
A marine technician down in Lymington got in touch with us. He was servicing a 36-foot cruiser moored in the marina, and during inspection, he found the sensor bracket for a bilge monitor had snapped at its base.

The broken part arrived in two pieces by post. Within a few hours we’d scanned the geometry and re‑built it in CAD.
We made it better:
Added a slightly thicker base for structural integrity
Included a slight offset to relieve torque from the sensor’s weight
Created a rounded cable notch to avoid insulation damage
UV-drain slot to let condensation escape
The final model was sent to the engineer that same evening. He replied: “Stronger than what we started with. Let’s go.”
